WHAT IS MILK FED BEEF?
Our Milk Fed Beef is grown predominantly on fresh raw milk, free of additives or hormone growth promotants, giving our animals very high quality feed inputs that produces excellent tasting meat.
Calves come to us between 40-50kg and we grow them out to 200kg live weight to create a well-balanced carcase of approximately 100kg, which provides the body for good quality cuts and portions desired by our Food service customers. Notwithstanding a very low fat content, Milk Fed Beef is extremely tender, flavoursome and juicy as confirmed through judging at the 2016 Australian Foods Awards, and customer tastings in Melbourne. Our early collaboration with several established Victorian venues have created comments such as‘Epic Product’ by well-regarded Chefs, and in Singapore several Japanese Chefs describing it as ‘better than Wagyu’!
Milk Fed Beef is supremely tender and mildly darker than traditional European Veal. As reviewed by superior dining venues and chefs across Australia, our Gippsland Milk Fed Beef is a product with excellent eating quality and unique taste characteristics and lighter in color
