What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage that goes back to ancient times, consumed for its believed health benefits. It is made by fermenting tea for a couple of weeks with a SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast).
Taste notes: Mildly sweet, somewhat tangy, and a little fizzy.
Why should I drink Kombucha?
Kombucha contains several strains of good bacteria and enzymes which may have probiotic function, lending its claim to fame in aiding gut and digestive health. Being a good source of vitamins, acetic acids and antioxidants, Kombucha may also help in boosting immune health.
As Kombucha is made from tea, it also provides the benefits of polyphenols, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Being naturally carbonated, Kombucha makes for an excellent healthier alternative to other fizzy beverages that is packed with sugar and artificial flavorings.

SCOBY! If you see it in your beverage, don’t be alarmed! It just shows how authentic your beverage is. Plus, if you do decide to drink it, you would be pleased to know that you just scored your gut extra probiotic points!
How much Kombucha should I drink?
For someone who is just beginning to embark on the life-changing Kombucha
journey, start of with one cup of Kombucha a day. If well tolerated, you can slowly
increase your Kombucha intake gradually.
Does Kombucha contain alcohol?

byproduct. However, Dr T’s Daily Therapy Kombucha monitors this process closely

Kombucha cannot be recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
How to store Kombucha?
As Kombucha contains strains of good bacteria, fermentation never stops.
However, it can be slowed down by keeping them well chilled and refrigerated for
a couple of months till ready for consumption.
