Produced only in the best years with Sangiovese Grosso grapes, it has an extra 12 months of aging in French tonneaux (500-litre oak casks). The wine is full body with a rich red ruby colour. The taste is intense, elegant and persistent with a hint of spices and a balanced tannin. Pair it with heavy meat dishes such as steak and game. It also can bode well against heavy pasta dishes, stews, and powerful cheeses.
